A project that pursues the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exchanging views on the current landscape of Quantum Technology in Europe<\/li>\n<li>Assessing the current and future market perspectives of the QT in Europe<\/li>\n<li>Fostering of a unified strategy for standardization of QT in Europe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Victor Lopez<\/strong>, <em>Technology Expert<\/em> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telefonica.com\/es\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Telef\u00f3nica<\/a>\u00a0 explained in his speech &#8220;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/PO__U4rzqSw\" target=\"_blank\">Integratig QKD in Telco network infrastructure<\/a><\/strong>&#8221; that Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is relevant to security and telecommunications because it offers a secure communication, based on the laws of physics, wich is mathematically proven to be unbreakable and immune to any classical or quantum computer attack.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pol Forn-D\u00edaz<\/strong>, <em>Co-founder<\/em> of <a href=\"http:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/\" target=\"_blank\">Qilimanjaro <\/a>and <em>Head of the quantum hardware team <\/em>presented his company as one of the few European companies in quantum compunting, the only one based on anneling. In his speech &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8TGuGP70L94\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Qilimanjaro: Quantum Computing services<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; explained the Qilimanjaro model based in 3 independent branches: hardware, software, services; and specified the power of quantum annealers (algorithms), that can we used in Finance\/Optimization (navigation, scheduling, asset value optimization), AI\/ML (trained neural networks for quantum processors more efficiently than gradient descend methods) and Biochemistry (study of complex molecules for drug design, more efficient batteries, fertilizers, new gases for capture of greenhouse gases).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carlos Abell\u00e1n<\/strong>,<em> Co-founder &amp; CEO at <a href=\"https:\/\/secpho-sta.instawp.xyz\/socio\/quside\/\" target=\"_blank\">Quside<\/a>\u00a0 <\/em>an spinoff of <a href=\"https:\/\/secpho-sta.instawp.xyz\/socio\/icfo\/\" target=\"_blank\">ICFO<\/a> (also member at secpho)<em>, <\/em>pointed out in his speech &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/IkocMWnfFqY\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Bringing quantum entropy to cybersecurity and computation<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; that quantum computers will be able to break out our today locks and, thus new ones may be needed like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-quantum cryptography (NIST contest \u2013 stronger algorithms)<\/li>\n<li>Quantum cryptography (physical security of certain primitives, QKD, QRNG)<\/li>\n<li>Significat strategic investments Connected to security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s why cibersecurity and quantum are highly connected. Abell\u00e1n also listed some market opportunities in next years such as Data center security,high-performance computer, IoT networks and Aerospace, Defense and critical infraestructure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Juan Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, <em>Integrated Photonics Designer<\/em> at<a href=\"https:\/\/secpho-sta.instawp.xyz\/socio\/vlc-photonics\/\" target=\"_blank\"> VLC Photonics<\/a> made a general introduction to Photonic Integration, and to Quantum Optics in his speech &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/lkCbBKtC-oc\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Integrated Photonics for Quantum: silicon nitride platforms<\/strong><\/a>&#8220;.
